Since 1995, Pareto have had the pleasure of assessing, training and placing the highest calibre of graduate talent into leading businesses across the world. To celebrate on our 21st birthday, we gathered 21 of our brightest sales stars and honoured them with Great status.
These Greats have won international awards, grown huge businesses from scratch, become MDs or CEOs. Their stories showcase their journeys and act as an example to graduates and companies of what can be achieved if sales potential is realised.
Meet the Pareto Greats
After his training, Alan managed teams to help drive rapid business growth throughout his various roles, looking for solutions to help clients goals and their business performance.
Smart Currency Business
Alex Bennett started in the private client business and later co-founded and progressed within Smart Currency Business, where he is now a shareholder and Head of Corporate Sales. After starting the business from scratch eight years ago they now enjoy a 30-40% year-on-year growth in revenue!
Andy’s exceptional career spans over 20 years, from graduate to Sales Director, Managing Director and now Founder and Business Owner. Andy attended Pareto’s first ever assessment day in 1995 and it changed his life.
At the age of 30, Brian Whigham, founded his own digital agency – Venn Digital. His hunger motivated him further and six years later his team is 45 strong and currently operates in 14 countries.View video
Associate Sales Director
Caroline has managed to gain the trust of prospects where nobody else could, develop champions within brands and win hugely influential contracts in her career. She now enjoys a challenging but influential role as Associate Sales Director at Sprinklr.
Daryl Pile, has successfully coached and managed a team of six senior sales employees for seven years. Daryl did such a fantastic job that four of the six were promoted taking the initial team from £1.5m per annum gross margin to £25m.
EMEA Channel Director
Eleri Gibbon has spent many years hiring; many of the candidates have been graduates who have gone on to have amazing success. When reflecting on her career, Eleri shares how this has brought her the most enjoyment- building engaged, successful teams that have lots of fun along the way is her overall mantra.
Fanni Szabo is an inspirational woman who has taken her learnings from Pareto and become a Managing Director. This Pareto journey, has lead Fanni to move out to Munich and set up an office hiring a team of 20 people, growing the business 30% YOY.
Georgina Lord, hit a huge career milestone by making it to Director Level at the age of 30, just 7 years after joining Virgin as a graduate. This achievement made Georgina the youngest and only female Sales Director ever within both Virgin Media's Business.
Kevin is part of the team that founded ServiceNow in 2005, taking them from zero customers and zero revenue to an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012. The company floated at a €4 billion market cap and is now valued at €13 billion.
Head of Sales
Matt’s trajectory since starting his career in sales has been notable, he is now Head of Sales for the Sovereign Beverage Company. Following promotion, he brought on a team of graduates straight from university, he then built up their skill sets and created a solid foundation for their careers.
Michael Lynskey was placed in Pareto’s very first year, 1995. Since then his incredible journey has allowed him to travel the world, he has worked for great companies and provided a fantastic life for his family.
Placed in 1999, Neil Davidson has built such strong relationships that clients have remained with him for 18 years, some now playing huge roles as global clients today. Neil is passionate that sales is about ensuring that you truly understand each client’s issue, and utilise the resources of your company to meet their objectives in a partnership approach.
Neil Ryland, worked exceptionally hard in his position within a UK start up. An influential leader, he carefully procured a team that took the business from an SMB to an Enterprise.
Profit Centre Manager
Oliver has gone from strength to strength following his placement in 2009. Throughout his career, Oliver has consistently delivered results; turning business’ operating at a significant loss into healthy profit making ones within 12 months.
Business Development Manager
Rebecca Thompson won the Newcomer of the Year award at the National Sales Awards - her professional accomplishments are rooted in Sales. According to Rebecca, pursuing a career in Sales at a young age creates a platform upon which any direction is possible.
Rob, Director at Converge, undertook a project 4 years ago that defined his career. He built a brand new business in the EMEA region- starting with no employees and zero revenue.In June 2016 the business had over 250 direct, repeat-subscription customers, generating over $5m per year in revenue and resulting in the addition of 4 new team members.
Divisional Sales Manager
Sarah Hengeveld achieved a fantastic promotion at age 25 to manage a team of 13. Following this, at age 27, Sarah was headhunted to run a start-up – turning over half a million in 18 months.
Scott Clay, MD of Profile PI, lives by the saying ‘If not me, then who? If not now, then when?’ Operating by this mantra Scott’s biggest achievement in his career has been securing half a million pounds of investment to start his own insurance company.
VP of Global Sales
Tom Weeks said he simply wouldn’t be where he is today without Pareto. From the first call to attending an assessment day, his whole outlook on sales changed and lead him to where he is today.
Senior Regional Director
Will Eves won the AMEX President’s Award by achieving a 950% Sales Target in his first year. He attributes his success to the confidence and connections Pareto gave him, sharpening his commercial accumen.
